Muay Thai Kickboxing

Registration and payment can be completed online, by phone at 906-487-2073, or at the SDC Ticket Office. Participants must sign a waiver of liability prior to participation. You will receive an admission ticket to present to your instructor on the first day of class.

Muay Thai/Kickboxing classes will teach you the fundamentals of each of these respected martial arts, provide a solid cardiovascular/core workout, as well as offer the skills needed for self-defense. Muay Thai involves striking with the hands, elbows, knees and feet. Kickboxing focuses on the same strikes but more heavily on punches and kicks with less elbows and knees. You will also learn defensive techniques to utilize against these same strikes being learned. The focus will be on proper technique, followed by a great cardiovascular/core workout, and will also undoubtedly give each participant more confidence, ability to defend themselves, as well as a feeling of comradery and friendship with the rest of the class. Be prepared to have fun! Level 2 will be similar to Level 1 but will also offer more difficult striking techniques, more one-on-one training, and an intensified training regimen. 

No sparring or competition permitted. Max of 14 participants per class.
