The Nourished Athlete Workshop

Registration and payment can be completed online, by phone at 906-487-2073, or at the SDC Ticket Office. You will receive an admission ticket to present to the instructor at class.

Wednesday, May 2, 5:30-6:45 p.m.

This workshop is open to middle/high school students and parents of middle/high school students wanting to learn nutrition and lifestyle tips that can help a young athlete reach their full potential. We will offer tips for eating on the road, pre- and post-competition meal ideas, healthy snacks, hydration, etc. *BONUS - includes admission to that evening's 7pm Yoga for Athletes class! (A parent or guardian must sign a waiver of liability and concussion awareness form prior to participation in Yoga for Athletes.)

About the Instructor

Joan Kero
Joan Kero is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, having graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She is also a certified Yoga Instructor with certifications in YogaBack, Yoga Therapy 1, Yoga for Athletes, Prenatal & Postpartum Yoga, Yoga Levels 1 & 2, and Anatomy & Alignment. She has been teaching a variety of yoga classes for the past 13 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and has studied applied kinesiology, sports psychology, intuition, and the body/mind connection. Joan is passionate about health and fitness and enjoys working with clients in all areas of their health and wellness.
