P.O.W.E.R. Skating Hockey Clinic

Michigan Tech Recreation is pleased to announce the upcoming P.O.W.E.R. SKATING HOCKEY SKILLS SESSIONS. The main focus of these sessions will consist of deep edge control, quick transitions, agility and balance drills in addition to many other skating movements that are applicable to the game of hockey. On and off-ice sessions.

Required Dress

Full equipment on the ice. T-shirt and sweats or shorts and athletic shoes off the ice.

  • 14U - $95/skater

Registration: Email completed registration form to Marcie Kierpiec on or before September 5, 2017. Registrations received after September 5 and walk-up registrations will incur a $10 late fee. An email with confirmation of your registration and balance due will be sent to you upon receipt of the registration form.

Payment: Cash/check payable to Marcie Kierpiec on 1st day of clinic, prior to first session. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver of liability.

About the Instructor

Marcie Kierpiec

Marcie Kierpiec is a Level 4 coach through USA Hockey with 31 years of coaching experience. Marcie has vast experience working with hockey players of all ages within the state of Michigan and northern Wisconsin. She is the lead skating instructor for the Michigan High School Hockey Excellence program and the U16 Compuware AAA team in Plymouth, MI. In addition, she is also the off-ice strength coach for this team. Marcie recently completed her degree in Exercise Science with a focus on Strength and Conditioning which included an internship last fall with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program in Plymouth, MI. While doing her internship, she worked with both the U18 and U17 teams during their off-ice training sessions, as well as on ice with the U17 team by assisting their regular power skating instructor.
