Twists & Tumbles (Ages 3-5)

Registration and payment can be completed online, by phone at 906-487-2073, or at the SDC Ticket Office. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver of liability and concussion awareness form prior to participation. You will receive an admission ticket to present to your instructor on the first day of class.

An introduction to tumbling that teaches basic moves such as forward and backward rolls, head and hand stands, and cartwheels. 

Spring Session 1: January 19 - March 2

Registration closes after the first day. No class February 9.

Girls should wear a gymnastics leotard and footless tights; boys should wear a T-shirt, shorts, or sweat pants. A parent or legal guardian is required to sign a release form for all youth classes.

About the Instructors

Marina Samp

Marina Samp is an Environmental Engineering graduate from Michigan Technological University. She is currently working towards her Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering at Michigan Tech. During her past 5 years at Michigan Tech, Marina has participated on the Michigan Tech Cheer Team and currently serves as President/Captain. She started tumbling in elementary school and has continued tumbling though her cheer experience in high school and college.

 

Jaime Modolo

Jaime Modolo is a third year Mechanical Engineering student at Michigan Technological University. During her past 3 years at Michigan Tech, Jaime has participated on the Michigan Tech Cheer Team and currently serves as Vice President/Co-Captain. She started tumbling when competing in gymnastics competitively throughout elementary school and has continued tumbling through her cheer experience throughout middle school, high school and college.
