Shimmying, wiggling and undulating your belly is an excellent way to get your heart pumping and strengthen your core. Belly dancing is a fun cultural experience that makes you feel comfortable with your body, is more social and you get the opportunity to learn easy cool moves!
Light to moderate. Classes are structured so that anyone from beginners to an experienced person can benefit from this class.
No shoes, belly dance belt, and comfortable athletic wear that allows for easy movement.

About the Instructor
Ruby has been belly dancing since the tender age of five. She studied belly dancing in the Middle East, Egyptian area, when she explored other dance forms including belly dance, Khaleej and improvisation. When she began studying Raqs Sharqi, she liked belly dance the most. Her belly dance training is mostly in Egyptian and Khaleej styles. Egyptian and Khaleej styles have different forms depending on the country and area that they come from and also include many dancing costumes and tools such as the stakes, scarves and belly dance belt. Ruby focuses on the meaning behind the music and how to explain it with your body in a way of understanding the complex movements of the torso. She is excited to create a fun and encouraging class for beginner-level belly dancers to achieve their goal.
