Learn to Spin

Spring Session 1, January 21 - March 4 (6 weeks)

Spring Session 2, March 18 - April 29 (7 weeks)

No class February 25.

Learn to Spin is designed for people who are new to spin and cycle-style workouts. Geared towards the novice spinner, each class will focus on learning proper form and technique on stationary bikes while still offering a great cardio, strength and endurance workout. Class size is limited. Full session participants have priority.

Special Requirements

Comfortable athletic wear and sneakers or bike shoes. First-time spinners, please arrive ten minutes early for basic bike instruction and setup.

Registration and payment can be completed online, by phone at 906-487-2073, or at the SDC Ticket Office. You’ll receive an admission ticket to present to your instructor on the first day of class.

About the Instructor

Bonnie Zwissler Bonnie Zwissler is currently a graduate student pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering at Michigan Tech. She is a Mad Dogg certified Spinning instructor and has 3 years of spinning instruction experience. She has previously earned her B.S. in Civil Engineering at Widener University in Chester, PA and her M.S. in Civil Engineering at Michigan Tech.

Bonnie enjoys staying active and believes that variety is the key to fitness. She competed on the varsity cross country and track and field teams at Widener University. Since, she has competed in road races, triathlons, mud runs and other fun races.
