Krista Cone Krista Cone, a Calumet native, is currently finishing up her undergraduate degree at Michigan Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Fitness Management. This summer she is pursuing an internship with Tech's Strength and Conditioning program, as well as teaching within Community Programs and working in the fitness center. Her goal is to work within an Athletic Department, while still instructing group exercise. She plans to get her ACSM Personal Training certification within the next year. Krista is passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle and is a lover of sports. She enjoys traveling, high intensity exercise programs, and spending time outdoors doing recreational activities such as trail running, competitive mud races, kayaking, and exploring the Upper Peninsula.

She has participated in and taught various fitness classes for the last 15 years, worked as a certified instructor for the last 3 years and has numerous Fit Tour Certifications. Laura believes that a variety of fitness experiences keeps a person healthy — which is why she went out of her comfort zone and ran her first half-marathon with her niece last August. She currently teaches classes to all ages and athletic levels and is thrilled to be teaching spinning at Michigan Tech. In Laura's classes, you'll enjoy a wide range of music and work your whole body.
