Buti Yoga Basics Workshops

Registration and payment can be completed online, by phone at 906-487-2073, or at the SDC Ticket Office. Participants must sign a waiver of liability prior to participation. You will receive an admission ticket to present to your instructor on the first day of class.

COME AND TRY BUTI YOGA!! This workshop is ideal for the new Butisattva wanting to learn what Buti Yoga is all about and for building a foundation practice, etc. as well as the seasoned yogi wanting to revisit postures, check alignment, and ask any and all questions. 90 minutes. We will be breaking down the things that make Buti Yoga different from other practices, and alignment in main postures. Everyone attending will be entered to win a some HuskiesFit swag! Just bring yourself, water and wear comfortable clothing.

About Buti Yoga

Buti Yoga is a calorie-scorching workout that fuses power yoga with cardio-intensive ancient dance + strength + conditioning + body sculpting ancient movement. It utilizes the Spiral Structure Technique to sculpt + tone the deep abdominal muscles that stabilize and strengthen the body. Instead of linear movements, Buti Yoga integrates movements that challenge the body along all planes of motion - THE RESULT - long , lean muscle with increased flexibility. This class is open to all fitness levels, but a basic knowledge or background of fitness and or yoga is suggested as this can be a bit of an intense workout. Any fitness levels are still ALWAYS welcome, if something doesn't feel right for you, you're free to have your own dance party in the back!

The Buti community is unwavering in its commitment to the creation of an empowered community who support each other in their pursuit of health, wellness and happiness. Come as you are and wear what is comfortable for you in order to enable you to move freely and openly through asanas and through moments of high intensity cardio. This is a judgement free zone and we are all about body love and loving yourself exactly where you are right now, so you will often find butisattvas in nothing more than a sports bra and yoga shorts. We move big and sweat hard! So grab your water, (a towel wouldn't hurt) and come meet me on the mat!

About the Instructor

Natasha Kentala is a native of the area and a Massage Therapist of 12 years, having studied at the Arizona School of Massage Therapy. She holds additional certifications in Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release and is also a Reiki Master. Natasha became certified in Buti Yoga in May of 2017 and has been passionate about the practice for well over a year. She refers to it as her soulmate workout as it has helped her transform from the inside out. In the paraphrased words of the founder of Buti Yoga, Bizzie Gold, "To me, Buti Yoga isn't a workout, it's my chance to create, let go, connect, and sweat with intention. Every time you step on your mat, you have a chance to break through the emotional or physical barriers that hold you back in life, and thus, set you free."  Natasha is very excited to share this fun, unique, transformational practice with all of you! Natasha is passionate about all things in the realm of health, wellness and creative outlets. In her free time, when she's not buti-ing of course,  she stays active chasing her two children, enjoying the outdoors, learning new things, hiking, gardening, cooking delicious paleo meals, and dreaming of warm places to travel to, to help balance out the chill of the Upper Peninsula. She can't wait to meet you on the mat!
