Zumba Toning

Registration and payment can be completed online, by phone at 906-487-2073, or at the SDC Ticket Office. Participants must sign a waiver of liability prior to participation. The SDC is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Please do not leave valuables unattended.

Learn how to use weighted, maraca-like Zumba Toning Sticks to blend body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba® moves into one calorie-burning, strength-training experience. The challenge of adding resistance by using Zumba®Toning Sticks (or light weights), helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged! Lightweight maraca-like Toning Sticks enhances sense of rhythm and coordination, while toning target zones, including arms, core and lower body.

NOTE: This class is first come, first serve due to limited space/equipment.

About the Instructors

Sarah Hampton

Sarah Hampton has been a Zumba instructor since August 2016. She added Strong by ZumbaTM to her Zumba repertoire in January 2017 and Zumba Toning™ in November 2018. She is very excited to share this programming with our community. Sarah has always loved the Upper Peninsula. She grew up in Calumet and has lived in the Upper Peninsula most of her life. When not teaching Zumba, Sarah is an elementary teacher at one of the local school districts and enjoys spending time with her family.

Allison Neely

Allison Neely has been a certified Zumba instructor since December 2015 and an avid Zumba student since she began taking classes in 2010. Passionate about fitness, Allison is excited to share her love of dance fitness with others and create a fun, energetic, and motivating class for participants of all abilities. She is currently working toward an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certification and adding Zumba specialty programming to her repertoire. Allison became certified in Aqua Zumba™ and Zumba Toning™ in 2018.
